NBIA Student are doing....
NBS Students continue to demonstrate the value of solid training by receiving scholarships to Summer Intensives, year round study and positions in ballet companies. Ashley Rivette, was awarded the 2015 D Scholarship to the CCA Summer School from the Eastcoast Committee of the CCA. 2016-17 school year has brought Ashley a full scholarship to the Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive, a scholarship in dance to Shenandoah Conservatoy and University plus a $1000 check from the Eastcoast Committee of the CCA to be applied to her studies in ballet.
Cindy Case, (FCCA) after 2 years in the Richmond Ballet trainee program has accepted a position in the Nashville Ballet 2nd company.
Aaron Bauer is now a soloist with the Ballet Theater of Maryland in Annapolis..
Teachers in the Teachers Training Program under director, Pamela Moore have received scholarships from the ECC of the CCA to attend the CCA Seminar.
Nicola Purser, a graduate of the NBS is currently in Paris, France on a fellowship in music (Piano) . Nicki holds the CCA Advanced Dancers Exam and received scholarships to attend the CCA Summer School from the Eastcoast Committee of the CCA.
Mary Steward Graduated from Point Park University in2013 where she has attended on scholarship in dance. She holds the Maestro Enrico Cecchetti Diploma and represented the CCA in the CICB Competition in 2008. Mary was the first recipient of the Helen Moore Memorial Scholarship and graduated from NBS in 2009. Mary is now a member of the Charlotteville Ballet in Virginia
Sara Poe (FCCA) graduated from Towson University in 2012 and is now pursuing the teachers certification in the Cecchetti Method. Sara grew up at the National Ballet with her father Herb Poe and sister Tina. She holds the Advanced Dancers Exam, the Advanced Teachers Exam, and performs with the NBC
Roman Mykyta.continues as a strong force in the Ukrainian Community as well as performing with a number of ballet schools and companies including Ballet Theater of Maryland. Roman was a student at NBS for 5 years and always excited an audience.
NBC Dancers are everywhere doing.......
Jessica Stibick, principal dancer with National Ballet is a graduate of the school and holds the Enrico Cecchetti Diploma. She is on the faculty of GJ's Dance and Dance Dopot, Cuppets Performing Arts Center. In addition Miss Stibick is the Secretary of the Eastcoast Committee of the Cecchetti Council of America.
Kimmary Williams, Elaine Seidman, Patricia Suto all graduates of NBIA and NBC developed professional careers which includes opening their own studios in Maryland with outstanding reputations as teachers. Each holds the Cecchetti Diploma (DFCCA) and are frequent guest teachers and Cecchetti events throughout the US.
Kimmary MacLean,( FCCA), is the treasurer for the Eastcoast Committee of the CCA and is the executive director of the Creative and Performing Arts of South County (CPASC) in Edgewater, Maryland. Kimmary is not only an outstanding ballet teacher but an artist showing throughout the metro area with an emphasis on nature.
Elizabeth MacLean (LCCA), is teaching and presenting students for the CCA exams throughout the Maryland, Virginia area with outstanding results. Liz is a dancer, choreographer, musician and artist of unique qualities.
Evalina Wallis Cain Carbonelli, a graduate of NBIA is a member of Kun-Yang Lin Dance Company in Philidalphia where she is exploring many new forms of movement.
